IGN Charity Run – News

2

Quick news post today. IGN UK are looking to bring some good into the world. Many familiar faces from the team such as, Krupa, Gav, Joe and Alysia will be taking part in the 10k London Run.

So why are they running you might ask? Well it isn’t so the boys can keep there jobs (cheeky prepare to try in joke), it’s to support a UK based charity called SpecialEffect. SpecialEffect work to help bring the joy of video games to those who suffer from disabilities.

The team is hoping to raise 1800 pounds. If you think you might be able to contribute or spread the message so that we can extend our gaming community to others who’s limitations exclude them, then please reach out.

New Mass Effect Book Series Will Connect Original Trilogy to Andromeda – News

Mass-Effect-3-New-Wallpaper

It looks like a lot of us will be waiting longer than we expected, in regards to Mass Effect Andromeda. It is currently scheduled for a Q1 2017 release, but with so little of the game showed off at E3 2016, fans are worried they may have to wait longer.

However it looks like there may be a way for Mass Effect enthusiasts to pass the time and still get their fix.

Titan Books will be weaving a tale that serves as the connection between the original trilogy and Andromeda. Titan Books wrote in its fiction guide, the books will be canon within the series, “and will become part of the overarching Mass Effect saga.” Going on to say each of the four novels will focus on key characters, who will answer many long awaited questions.

N.K. Jemisin will be releasing Mass Effect Andromeda Initiation August of this year. The following sequels will release in 2017 and the final entry in 2018.

OUG Talks Ep 20 – E3 Special

OUG_Talks_cover

This Week I starred on the OUG Talks podcast. This is a conversational podcast where we talk about games, media or whatever else pops into our heads. This week however we had a super special E3 edition, where we covered basically every game displayed at the conferences. Be warned we had some issues and so my end sounds particularly bad, but I will be getting a new microphone soon, so hopefully you’ll see an improvement in quality.

L.A. Noire’s sequel will likely never see the light of day – News

Whore of the Orient was the working title for L.A.  Noire’s spiritual successor. Former KMM producer Derek Proud when asked whether a follow up to L.A. Noire would be released responded with, “I don’t think so.”

Proud in his interview on Gamehugs detailed a lot of his experience during the acquisition of Team Bondi (Developers of L.A. Noire) by KMM games.

Proud had only good things to say of his former team, many of whom had been picked up in the takeover, “They are incredibly talented developers, and while we lost a couple of them in that transition, I have amazing amounts of respect for everybody that put out L.A. Noire.”

When commenting on Whore of the Orient’s narrative direction he mentioned that they were looking to explore Shanghai in the early twentieth century.

“Shanghai was the only place in the world you could go to in the 1930s and 1940s if you didn’t have a passport. So everybody who was running from something went to Shanghai.”

Despite the fact that Proud chose to steer away from the word “cancelled” it seems unlikely Whore of the Orient will see the light of day. The team working on the game was closed in 2013.

L.A. Noire was a unique title that despite failing to reach commercial success, scratched a unique itch with its innovative and consequential gameplay.

Grand Prix Rock N’ Racing Review – Editor

geL631T

Hey guys another review I edited here. Once again I was supplied with a piece and asked to re write it so that the sentence structure had a better sense of flow, the grammar was more punctual, and points were clearer and made more sense. Did my best re writing this one, hopefully you like it.
